Places to go North Wales really does offer something for everyone. A brief selection of the areas greatest attractions can be found below.
No break is complete without a little trip to a beach. Just a 20minute drive away from us is Llandudno North Shore (Conwy)one of the top 10 Beaches in North Wales. Closer still is Prestatyn with its five-star blue flag award. It makes for a lovely little walk, and the perfect location to enjoy an ice cream or two on a nice sunny day.
For those of you who enjoy a little history, why not visit some of the many exciting castles that Wales has on offer.
Conwy – Just a short drive away from Eriviat Hall you will find Conwy Castle. The castle itself is one of the best-maintained Castles in Wales and is a must-see for visitors. It will not fail to impress. What is more, you will love a walk alongside the castle walls.
Caernarfon – A little further along the coast is Caernarfon Castle. Great care has been taken to look after this castle over the years, and as such visitors are treated to one of the best examples of a castle would have been like. Make sure you that you have enough time to walk around the whole of the castle, as there really is a lot to see. This castle is also home to the museum of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, just as a little bonus.
You can’t beat a walk on a pier. Llandudno boasts some lovely views, and there is no better way to see them than being out on the pier. Make sure that you stock up on your 2ps though, as the pier is home to an impressive little arcade.
Llandudno is also home to a number shops and tea rooms, so makes for a lovely day out.
North Wales is home to one of the nicest villages in the UK. With a slightly Mediterranean feel, Portmeirion offers something a little different to its visitors. Lush gardens and unique architecture surround this stunning little coastal village. Its beautiful picturesque scenery is reason enough to visit this village.
The village was used as the setting for the 1960’s television series ‘The Prisoner’.
